Ubuntu Release Party 11.04 Narwhal Natty

Ubuntu Release Party 11.04 Narwhal Natty

Ubuntu is a Linux distribution that provides an updated and stable operating system for the average user, with a strong focus on ease use and installation. Both Ubuntu and the applications that comprise it are distributed under a free license or open source.

Following his semi-annual release cycle, the Ubuntu community Uruguay celebrated this May 7, at the Extension Culture, the launch of Ubuntu 11.04 (whose name ID is Natty Narwhal, or English Elegant narwhal, an Arctic whale with a horn).

This event is held internationally. In different cities of the world, communities of users of Ubuntu (or as they are called crazy, or Local Comunity) meet launch day or days to celebrate the launch of a new version of the free operating system.

In this case, in Uruguay, the local community is organizing a series of lectures, demonstrations and installations of the new version.

The talks will be on various topics, including improvements in the new version, Internet use with the system and how to join the community.

The event will be held on Saturday May 7, 2011 in Culture Extension, Avda July 18, 1877, from 14 to 18 hours, free and suitable for all ages.
